About meI am an eclectic and a bit of a hoarder (but mostly an organized one). My house is completely over-flowing with books, and I love it.
I tend to read a lot of sci-fi and fantasy, but since I've graduated from college and have unused brain power to spare, I've set my goals towards more challenging books, starting with the so-called classics. I was a Latin and Classical Culture major, so I think of them as 'the less-classical classics.'
I don't read much nonfiction, but I would like to.
(I really like pretentious books, but I read an awful lot of trash.)
About my libraryIn the process of adding all my books.
I'm tired of experiencing that horrible brainfog when I can remember that I read a book, and something about it, but not enough useful things (like the title or perhaps the author) to be able to actually identify it. So everything I read goes on here so I never have to deal with that problem ever again.
I'm in the process of re-organizing my physical library by ostentatiousness: books I'd like people to see placed more visibly than books that I'd rather they didn't.
My ratings skew towards the higher end because I tend not to keep books that I don't like that much, and if I like something I tend to get acquire a lot of books by the same author. I'll often purge crappy books rather than record them here.
