About meI have always loved to read, but I find making time for it harder and harder. This site has inspired me, however, to make more time for reading (and also for aquiring books, but that's another story). I also love books, especially really really old ones and ones that are brand new, particularly brand new trade paperbacks. I don't crack spines or bend pages, and woe be to you if you borrow one of my books and return it that way.
I also want to be Lorelai Gilmore and Buffy Summers, minus the teenage pregnancy and savior-of-the-whole-world things.
About my libraryI have a hard time not buying books when I'm in a bookstore, so I have piles of books waiting to be read. I have tried to stop buying more books until I finish more of the ones I already own, but that's only working so-so.
I generally prefer fiction, but I also tend towards political books by a few of my favorite authors.
I am very far behind on my plan to read all of the major works of the English language.

I'm kind of feeling my way with this whole "review" thing. I'm not certain how public the reviews are, so I'm not sure if I should make comments geared toward other people reading it/them or more as reminders to myself about a particular book, how I liked it, what the story was about, etc. I'm sure you're like me in that, sometimes - especially if you read a lot of books in a particular genre - you tend to get the titles/stories mixed up. I was figuring that if I left reviews for any new reads, they would serve as refreshers for me when I go back to rereading or not rereading them. How do you use the review option?
Meanwhile, are you a fan of the J.R. Ward Brotherhood of the Black Dagger series of vampire stories? I'm really enjoying them, and the next one comes out on Sept. 5. I can't believe I've actually gotten to a place where I know when books are being released! Talk about obsessed.
And like you, my TBR pile is humongous. But I just cannot manage to stop buying books. I went into Borders last week to pick up Brockmann's Into the Storm and walked out with two other books. Why do I do that?!
