About meI'm an author and a reader. I write both novels and nonfiction.

About my libraryMy own published novels are "Skeeter" and "Pacific Avenue." Skeeter is a short, humorous, epistolary novel featuring a cat. "Pacific Avenue" is quite different, a literary novel of the early 1970s.

My published nonfiction consists of "Smart Soapmaking," which will be followed in November with the publication of a sequel, "Milk Soapmaking." Talk about clean literature!

My reading tastes include literary novels of authors such as Barbara Kingsolver, Robertson Davies, and Anne Tyler. I like books with complex plots and characters, but can't stand "downer books."
