About meA country girl who grew up in the city, and happens to be living in one at the moment. Lover of the night sky, of singing with friends and singing for joy when I'm alone. I'm a mother, a grandmother, a teacher and a friend. Been paraplegic for going on 25 years, probably my greatest adventure. I'm a lucky, lucky Irish girl.
About my libraryI have been reading wonderful books since I can remember, so I can't wait to begin listing all my favorite books.

Just saw your note. Looking forward to seeing what you think about The Child Thief! Also noticed that you have The Lovely Bones listed. Read that one awhile back, but it was really well done, almost in spite of the subject matter. Happy reading!

Welcome to LibraryThing. I noticed you have already reviewed a Virago Modern Classic. Be sure to check out the groups here which are focused on that publishing house. You are almost guaranteed a good read when you come across the green spine of a VMC. One of the best features of this site is the way it expands the range of one's reading. There are a number of great works, like the Gormenghast trilogy, and authors, like Muriel Spark, that I never might have known without the suggestions and reviews of other members.
Enjoy,
-G
