About meI'm currently a graduate student in UW Madison Geography, studying paleoecology and climate change. I have an undergraduate degree in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic, and grew up all over the country (with a 3-year stint in Italy) but my geographic loyalties are to New England and Vermont in particular. You have six books labeled 'borrowed never returned'...for shame! :-) There are a bunch of books that I could label 'lent never got back'... sometimes I think "Hmmm, I used to have that book, whatever happened to it?" Then again, it could be the book gnomes.

I am currently reading McCarthy's new book, 'The Road.' It is a dark, haunting vision, and the eloquence we enjoy in McCarthy's pre-'No Country for Old Men' writing is here in the new work.
