Sorry to be slow replying--we have been and are still visiting family halfway across the US. I would be willing, stipulating that I myself haven't read it for years, but I am very familiar with the trilogy and a lot of the background info. But it would definitely have to wait until I got back home, about mid-January, at the earliest!
I'm about a third of the way through The Spanish Bride. Usually we mark it completed on the TIOLI wiki and then you can post that you finished on one of those threads so those of us doing the shared read can post as well or we just visit each other's reading threads to comment. I'll look up your thread.
Great, just let me know when you are ready!
Although I'm not reading any of them at the moment, I'd certainly be willing to discuss either the Silmarillion or the Deathly Hallows with you while you are reading it. I'd didn't particularly care for the other book, so didn't keep a copy in my library. I could be a resource and answer questions you have.
I just wanted to stop by and say your username cracks me up. Curse you, aquascum! :-P
