Things are fine here and the weather is sunny. We're on our way out, though, I think, and heading to Portland OR in a few months. I've resigned my job (!) and am going to focus on the PhD and this craziness called being a mother. I'm excited for some good ales again and proper pubs in Oregon. Plus rain/sleet/hail/snow/sun all in one day! Say hi to John Knox for me, esp. his cool statue at New College.

edinburgh is creating a fucking racket right now...but at least Leonard Cohen (the little jew who wrote the bible) is in town, so we're trying to get the nitwits to get themselves under control....

was at the World's End pup this afternoon....had a nice we chat with John Knox....and family from Ulster.
