My challenge to you is East of Eden - for no other reason than I enjoyed it so hope you do to.

Hi Shona, thanks, only just seen this!

How does 'The Great North Road' by Annabel Dore sound for your challenge?
Thanks for your challenge, Shona. Look forward to reading it. Happy New Year! Vanessa x

Hi Shona

My challenge to you for 2014 is Howard's End - EM Forster. I've yet to read it myself, so aim to read it as part of my challenge this year.

Hi Shona

Just finished The Eyre Affair and enjoyed it, I loved the literary references and especially the visits from Rochester, and then of course Thursday's foray back into the book to change the ending - a much better ending than Charlotte's original version! I really like Thursday too, she's very believable.

Thanks for the challenge, I'm keen to read more of this author now.

Hope you enjoy your challenges.

Thank you for your challenge, Shona. I would like to challenge you to read A Week in December by Sebastian Faulks, if that's OK.
My challenge to you is The Queen and I by Sue Townsend because I really love her books like this laughed out loud!

Hi Shona

My 2013 challenge is The Great North Road by Annabel Dore. Happy reading :)

That's a great one. I've been meaning to get stuck into the Pallisers for ages, so this could be just what I need. Thanks Shona!
Thanks for the challenge Shona, but Kavalier and Clay was actually your challenge to me for this year, and I have every intention of completing that challenge, even if I don't manage it before December 31st (but I will try!). If you look at the tags, that's what the RC12 stands for: Reading Challenge 2012. So could you please choose me another one? Sorry for the duplication.

Cheers, Will
Hi Shona

Well, it did surprise me given your reading! I was going to stick to a classic, but then I spotted an author I love, whose book on your list I haven't read yet, but will now aim to read too (in fact, I found quite a few, but this one stuck out at me). So how about Jonathan Raban's Old Glory?
Hi Shona

My challenge to you is Jane Eyre. One that has got to be read!

Cheers, Will.
Thanks Shona

Looking forward to reading this one, I've heard lots about it.

HI Shona

I'd like to challenge you to read One Good Turn by Kate Atkinson - it's my favourite so far of the Jackson Brodie books, and I hope you like it too.

Hi Shona, my challenge for you is The Palace of Strange Girls by Sallie Day. I really enjoyed it and hope you do, too. x
