About my libraryMy library has traces of all the 'phases' I've been through in the past 10 years or so. I read that CJ Mahaney (Sovereign Grace Ministries) keeps all of his books--no matter how bad--just to remind him of where he's been, and to encourage him to read the best of best (usually, the older the better) and let the crazes and fads pass him by. That's good advice, I think.

My main goal is to read more poetry this year. I was given two collections from Scott for Christmas (Neruda), and I downloaded a decent amount for free on my Kindle (Frost, Eliot, etc.). I'm thinking about working my way up to Milton's Paradise Lost, but we'll see. Otherwise, just trying to read more widely, and also not get caught up in lists of books, but trying to read more on a whim. Not in a flaky sort of way, but if there's a book I see that I want to read, to read it. Or if there's a book that leads to a book, to add it to the queue.
30+ books for Christmas 2011?! Wow! I thought I was doing well with my 10-12. But I guess if you count the Kindle I got, and the 20 or so free books I already downloaded, I guess I'm right there with you. You got some very interesting ones, and glad to see I got a shout out on the Wendell Berry book!
Cheers and happy reading!
