It's anxious and gratifying all at once. You have a gazillion last minute details to attend to about - media appearances, book tour stops. In Our Boys, I'm getting a decent push - a Today Show appearance, excerpt in Readers Digest and Sports Illustrated on-line.
You can keep up with it, and see some more flavor of the book at www.joedrape.com
I'm really proud of this book. It was a profound experience living in SC. So no matter what happens from here, I've gotten a lot out of this.

I'm trying to figure this whole thing out as well, and probably don't know what I'm doing. I'm new to this. I have covered college football, and I also have a new book coming out in a couple of weeks, "Our Boys: A Perfect Season on the Plains with the Smith Center Redmen."
I moved to Kansas with my family and followed the Redmen, who now own the nation's largest winning streak @ 67 games.
Regards,
Joe

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked Faulkner and thought you might like my book since it's also southern and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:
