Hi, Astra!

I recently read Henry Jenkins' Textual Poachers, and I thought of you the whole way through! Have you read it? If you have, tell me what you thought--I'd love to know your opinion!

I thought it was brilliant and refreshingly insightful--even for a book over twenty years old! Although his main discussion centered around TV shows, I easily translated every reference to manga or novels--my forte.
Heya Astra! How do you find Soul Eater? I see there are A LOT of volumes, but the story does sound intriguing.

I like the quality of that (fairly) new publisher, Yen Press, so I was interested in looking at what else they licensed. I've bought one of their titles, Tale of the Waning Moon by Fujiyama, and although I do like their quality, I'm not so sure about their release schedule, since volume two of that one has been a long time coming.
I just finished Going Gone by Laura Crum. Please read my review and let me know what you think. Also, do you and Ria want it? Let me know.
Aww... Well, we hope you enjoy it enough to make it qualify as a present. (We certainly think it's very enjoyable.)

Here's to a thrilling and happy 2010!

Cheers,
ENC Press
Hi,

We sent out the PDF files of the e-giveaway for Terror From Beyond Middle England on Nov. 19, as soon as we got the list of winners. The e-mail address we have for you is astraplain@yahoo.com. Since we had multiple winners, we used the BCC field so as to keep everyone's e-mail address private from the others. Perhaps your e-mail settings trash BCC e-mails? We'll be happy to resend the file to you personally, if you'd like.

Cheers,
ENC Press
