About me Slightly compulsive collector of books and movies. Cataloging my books is helping me to weed out some dreadful books I'm ashamed to posess. Found some duplicates too. It's hard to get rid of some, but limited space and the desire to simplify make it a bit easier. I love books as objects and for their ability to take me out of my head and into another world.

About my library I didn't get into mysteries until after college; Sayers was my entry point. I have a lot of children's and young adult fiction. Eclectic collection of non-fiction, no focus on one particular subject. I just pick up whatever interests me at the moment.

For the first time ever I am making an effort to edit my collection. I've got books on my shelves that I hated. I've also got a pile of books on my library floor because there is no room on my shelves. I could probably fit another shelf in, but it seems like the grownup thing to do is weed out the books I will never read again. It's hard to get rid of books, but it is really hard to delete a book from LibraryThing. It's like I still want credit for owning the book at one time. Weird.
