About meComic maker, hermit, likes a good cookie.

About my libraryOnly recently - being the last two years - have I decided to start buying up books, mostly of the comic variety. It's not that I have anything against novels or such, it's just that they do not interest me as much as comics or manga does at the moment. Maybe one day, when I "grow up".

Generally I prefer a comedic read, and strive to find any series with a rich vein of humour in them. Dragon Ball, My Heavenly Hockey Club, the forthcoming Happy Cafe from Tokyopop and my no. 1 favourite Gin Tama are amongst the comics that make me laugh the hardest. I'll happily (or depressingly) read a more sombre or serious title, but generally I prefer to chuckle over cry. Not that I am a man of stone, of course.

While my library shows a heavy manga hand, I'll quite happily read anything from anywhere - as long as it is good. One of my favourite comics is a Korean Manhwa called DVD, for example. There are other examples, but I cannot be bothered to type anymore.

You'll notice I rate virtually all my books a full score: if I liked it, then I'll give it five. If it gets less then that book might have parts I really enjoy but parts of it also bore me or I find disappointing.
