About meI'm a native Californian who spent thirteen years of her adult life in Arkansas before returning to the land of milk and honey. Married, no children; however, we have two cats, a Pomeranian, and several nieces and nephews.
Other pertinent stuff: Methodist; soprano; liberal; actress (regional theatre); ex-smoker; wannabe gardener; introvert; yarn hoarder; knit and crochet fiend; This Old House fan and History Channel junkie. And let's not discuss that serious addiction to Stanley Kubrick films, Law And Order or Stargate SG-1.
I'm also a mild-mannered government employee. Hey, it pays the bills.
About my libraryI've been an obsessive reader (and dilettante collector) since about age four. In general, the only reason I ever disposed of any book was some major life change, usually involving relocation. Just about everything has interested me at one time or another, so you'll find all sorts here: history, sociology, romance, political commentary, SF/fantasy, pop psychology, horror, even some business and management stuff....
Virtually every book that passed through my hands and was read or put on a shelf to await reading in the last several years will eventually show up here. (As of this date, 9 Apr 2009, I'm still adding.) Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean the book is still in my possession. Feel free to visit my other bookshelf at BookCrossing to find out where a particular book might be! (If I remember, I'll make a note of a book's whereabouts here, too.)
