yeah, Urdu is a definite advantage. I have to wait for (sometimes) low quality translations (although it is usually the fault of the publisher, not the translator). I can speak Urdu, but I don't know how to read it. At least I am currently learning Arabic. I think I will start trying to learn the urdu script.

I recently started "Islamic Revival in British India: Deoband, 1860-1900". I am also planning to buy "Devotional Islam and Politics in British India: Ahmad Riza Khan Barelwi and His Movement, 1870-1920" by Usha Sanyal. Did you find it balanced?

Sometimes this Barelwi-Deobandi ikhtilaf bothers me, but I think it's mostly secondary aqidah issues.
You have a lot of good Deobandi books. I wish I could read Urdu!
