About me I live in the Washington DC area where I work for a local theatre company in their costume shop. I've always been something of a voracious reader, which is why I don't actually buy a lot of the books I read - I rely heavily on the local library, where I check out five to six books a week. The good thing about living in the suburbs and using public transportation is that it leaves me plenty of time to read - good thing, too, because there's always another book to add to the list.

Going with the free-book theme, I've been a member of BookCrossing for nearly two years now, but because until recently I was living overseas in a Russian-speaking part of the world, I really wasn't able to participate. I'm awfully pleased to be back in civilization now, where English-language bookstores are the norm and I can actually read the signs around me!

About my library My library is also my husband's library - and thus incredible eclectic. His favorite "smut" books are historical, dealing with Central Asia or the Middle East or the (American) Civil War. Mine tend to be either fiction or historic centering on whatever strikes my fancy. Currently I'm amassing a number of books about post-war Britain.

I've started a group thats dedicated just to discussing HP and the Deathly Hallows. its called HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS ONLY. We could all post about the last book there so that is will be contained and we won;t have to worry as much aobut spoilers. Join when you finish the book.
Was interested to see that we share 'Gothick Northamptonshire' by Jack Gould.Living as I do in the County Town of Northampton and having visited most of the places mentioned,I found this quite an interesting little volume. I have managed to collect quite a few local books relating to Northamptonshire history, folklore and old photographs of the County. I was wondering how this 'local'book made it's way to Washington?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Best wishes from middle England.

About The Tipping Point-I paid about $11 for it, if I remember correctly.
Yes, I realise that I'm in the top 25, but there are so many interesting books I've found out about from other people's libraries that I want to read, and so that makes me feel behind!
