I'm doing the 999 challenge this year for fun, and so far I've read "Pride and Prejudice" and "Sense and Sensibility" both by Jane Austen (for my Classics category), and "The Girl Who Played With Fire" by Stieg Larsson (for my random picks category). At the moment I'm reading the graphic novel "Watchmen" by Alan Moore (for my graphic novels category). I think "The Thirteenth Tale" by Dianne Setterfield will be up next. I've heard very good things about "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society". It's definitely on my list of books I'd like to read, so thank you for giving me a little nudge in it's direction :-)

Your dog is gorgeous!!!! I want to reach through the screen and give it a cuddle.
I'm actually an Aussie (from Brisbane originally) but lived in London in 2006, just for the year. I loved it and still miss it sometimes, but I missed my family more so came home.
I visited Sydney a couple of years ago and had the same kind of reaction - it was like Brisbane, but different at the same time. I think you just get used to wherever you are and after awhile anything else seems different.
Hope you have a good weekend too :-)

Maybe you want to volunteer at your local library book sale? That will get your book juices flowing while you still can afford your mortgage and paying the bills.
But yeah, I know what you mean. I'd love to work in a bookshop all day, but there is no way possible to work for those type of wages and make a living too.
Is your full library listed elsewhere?
