About meI live with my wonderful family: a fabulous life partner and teenage daughter, plus 4 entertaining four-legged family members. Our largest cat, Banjo, was kind enough to share his name with me.

About my libraryMostly I read from Multnomah County Library--one of the most active public libraries in the country!

Thanks for letting me know, Rhonda. Looking forward to your thoughts on The Plover!
I have wanted to read All the Pretty Horses. I am interested to hear how you like it.
Is the Franks book the one which Wendy recommended?
Also, I am huge fan of Carver.
I loved The Chosen. I have not read any Potok in quite some time.
hmmmmm. maybe that's why i can't remember anything about it at all except how much i loved the writing. it's something i plan to reread one day but might have hyped it too much in my head to be satisfied the next time around...

yes, i'm at the shop, but we had a lovely flute concert earlier today so so far i'm having a good weekend! i hope you are, too!
only 3.5 stars for my antonia?!?!?!?!
Glad you're liking the book group. It's fast becoming my favorite of the groups I'm in!
Ok. Looks like the way to do it is to click on the profile of the person, and then do a search books in their profile. So the book you want a review of will come up if it's in their library that way. It's a few more steps than I'd like, but it's not too cumbersome...
You are welcome...but I will need help from you and the others. :)
Thanks, Rhonda! That's terrific. I'm really looking forward to this theme read. Rebecca
Rhonda, I wasn't so crazy about *Achilles* either. I think the 3½ stars is about right. I also liked Goon Squad. We must share other tastes.
Hi, Rhonda,

We're signed up to read In The Shadow of Wounded Knee in July. There are a group of readers that are trying to read according to month designations and November is designated as American Indian history month, so I was wondering if it would be a problem to switch from July to November?

Hope you are having a great holiday season.

Yes, I was surprised I could not even find any information on her website!

The only other book of hers I have read is The Handmaid's Tale, so I seem to have completed the dystopian set :P I think either Bluebeard's Egg or The Blind Assassin will be my next Atwood book. You?
I see you read Year of the Flood as well!I wish I could find more information about the 3rd upcoming book... all I can find is that the focus will be on the third group: The group that separated off from the God's Gardeners.
