Hello again baoyu--

Thanks for the link. The translations are over a century old (1901 or before) and are probably quite antiquated. There are several more recent such books in my listings which have much more accurate translations based on archaeology and better understanding of cuneiform grammars and syntax. There are even more recent books, too, which are better than those, likely.

Hello baoyu--

Re Babylonian and Assyrian Literature by Anonymous in you library. This seems like a book I might be interested in. However, I am unable to find any review or synopsis of the book by Googling the ISBN number. Can you give me some information about this book...publisher, editors so I can find some specific information as to the structure and scope of the particular one you've listed.

Thank you,
John Hindsill
Thank you for participating in my thread. I hope to see more from you.
Baoyu, Mysteries of Paris lurks somewhere in the foothills of the Everest section of Mt. Bookpile. Fullerton was apparently Edith Wharton's lover and maybe a journalist, but that's really all I know about him. I can't even remember now why I bought the book since I'm not a great Wharton fan. (I don't dislike her, but she's not among my favorites.) When - not if - I get to it, I'll let you know!
Meanwhile, John McPhee is a wonderful writer, and *Annals* is a collection of five (I think) of his books. I've read some excerpts in anthologies, liked them, so this one is higher up on the Aconcagua slopes of Mt. Bookpile. I see that you own it; maybe you'll let me know how it is. In fact, I see that we have in common some of my more respectable books. Good for both of us!
