About me'Ello! I am barefootlibrarian, although technically I am a librarian assistant. I'm barefoot because I dislike shoes. (Okay, well I like shoes, especially green high heels, but I prefer not to wear them.) I read a lot, I watch a lot of movies, and I am a happy owner of an Australian Shepherd named Rose and an X-Box...which does not have a name.

About my libraryMysteries are the great love of my life. I have a serious passion for all things Sherlock Holmes and I collect whatever I can both cannon and pastiche. I love comics books and recently developed a fondness for westerns. As part of my job, I am expanding my genres, so wade with me into the world of other types of fiction! (And maybe non-fiction, too!)

I'm also participating in the 75 books in 2010 challenge! You can find my thread here: http://www.librarything.com/topic/85287

I don't know what "adding to friends" actually does, but I added you. So let's be online friends!

Awe, thanks!
If you like mysteries, you might like Arthur Upfield's mysteries of Inspector Inspector Napoleon Bonaparte (or 'Bony', as he is known in the books familiarly), the son of an unknown white man and an aborigine mother. The mysteries are from the 1930-1960s or so and it is fine to start with a good one in the series .... probably best to start with the Sands of Windee ---- The critic H.R.F. Keating included in 1987 Upfield's THE SANDS OF WINDEE (1931) among the 100 best crime and mystery books ever published. In the story about a "perfect murder" Upfield invented a method to destroy carefully all evidence of the crime. His "Windee method" was used in a true-life crime, in which one of his friend was killed. Let me know if you read him what you think.
Well, the first thing to do is to name your poor Xbox.

Welcome (belatedly) to LibraryThing.
