I've been meaning to read Pynchon for ages, but I always get a little daunted before I get a chance to start. Some day!

You mentioned in your review of House of Leaves that you consider Palahniuk to be the "Dan Brown of would-be edgy, postmodern literature." Just curious who you think would be less Dan-Brownish. I love by Danielewski and Palahniuk, so I'm always looking for more books in the same vein.
