Aaah... Sorry. I should probably also have introduced myself a little first. ^-^; I'm Dutch myself, so I grew up having access to all's Biegel's works. It was quite a surprise -- though a pleasant one, I assure you -- to find someone mentioning a Dutch book in that thread! My favourite of Biegel's works that I've read is probably The Gardens of Dorr, though. Possibly De rover Hoepsika (translated something like 'The robber Hupsica'), but that's not been translated and is horribly influenced by the two primary school teachers I had whose storytelling abilities just suited the book perfectly.
And I'm rambling now, for which I apologise, but in any case I hope I've mentioned something useful to you! ^-^
