About meI love to read! My father's love of books rubbed off on me when I was a little girl and I have loved them ever since. I especially love OLD books, I have a collection my husband and I have acquired from estate sales. I need to scan the covers in and post into my library because I have not found them online. Now that my son is getting bigger I'm finally able to curl up with a good book and a nice cup of tea!Currently, I'm trying to get my name out there as a mixed-media artist. If I'm accepted, my first real "show" will be this summer at a local art festival. Wish me luck!!
About my libraryMuch like everything else in my life, my library is quite eclectic. I like a little bit of everything, as long as it's not too bizarre. My favorites reads include books on world religions, crafts, architecture, or quirky stories such as [The Cat Who] series. Although I love Nicholas Sparks and similar fiction, I have to be in the mood for it because I tend to lose interest. I prefer books that keep me entertained or get me thinking! When I get lazy I like to read Donald Trump's books to get motivated. If I'm feeling a little blue I'll reach for Deepak Chopra or Maya Angelou, and on a rainy day I might curl up with a [Cat Who] or a craft book. I could read books on food, cooking and photography all day, EVERY day and never be bored. I've started a collection on Princess Diana, who has always been my favorite "Royal". I also collect cookbooks. Currently I'm learning beer can be paired with everything from dinner to dessert, so I'll be adding additional beer cookbooks to my kitchen library. Who knew!
