About meI love to read! My father's love of books rubbed off on me when I was a little girl and I have loved them ever since. I especially love OLD books, I have a collection my husband and I have acquired from estate sales. I need to scan the covers in and post into my library because I have not found them online.
There's nothing I love more in the winter than to curl up with a good book and a good cup of tea. I stay busy most of the time with my son, trying to get a decorative arts business going and keeping up with everything else. The summers are saved for outside family activity and my favorite hobby~"Junking"! Looking for treasures at local warehouses or by the side of the road is what I like to do, then I bring them home and give 'em a new life. I'm not sure if it's the creative process or the kick of looking thru whatever someone else tossed out, but I can't get enough of that!
About my libraryMuch like everything else in my life, my library is quite eclectic. I like a little bit of everything, as long as it's not too bizarre. My favorites reads include books on world religions, crafts, architecture, or quirky stories such as [The Cat Who] series. Although I love Nicholas Sparks and similar fiction, I have to be in the mood for it because I tend to lose interest. I prefer books that keep me entertained or get me thinking! When I get lazy I like to read Donald Trump's books to get motivated. If I'm feeling a little blue I'll reach for Deepak Chopra or Maya Angelou, and on a rainy day I might curl up with a [Cat Who] or a craft book. I could read books on food, cooking and photography all day, EVERY day and never be bored. I've started a collection on Princess Diana, who has always been my favorite "Royal". I also collect cookbooks. Currently I'm learning beer can be paired with everything from dinner to dessert, so I'll be adding additional beer cookbooks to my kitchen library. Who knew!
