About meEven though I'm a very slow reader, I love to read - cookbooks, travel books, fiction, mystery, sports - but my favourites are mysteries.

About my libraryBit of an LT purist so this is where I keep track of books I own. The exception is my 'read, gave away' collection - I keep track of these books mainly so I won't rebuy them ('This book looks familiar... maybe I should try it...' - already did and didn't like it' or 'I thought I had this book... where did it go?' and saves me hours of searching for something that I gave away/donated). I do have a wishlist of books (what book loving person doesn't??) under another profile - KayCee1.

My rating system:

1 star - could not finish/didn't like the book
1.5 stars - finished the book, but skimmed most of it. Didn't like it.
2 stars - read the book, didn't hate it but didn't like it either - wouldn't mind donating or giving away.
2.5 stars - read the book, it had some interesting bits but not enough to make it an interesting read.If it's part of a series, I'll probably read the next book and see if there's an improvement.
3 stars - interesting/solid read
3.5 stars - solid read but just missed being a really enjoyable read; probably skimmed a bit.
4 stars - Really enjoyed the book; would recommend to family/friends and reread in the future.
4.5 stars - Something (writing style, character development) kept the book from being a life long favourite.
5 stars - Life-long favourite book
