About meI have been an avid reader since childhood, coming from a family of bibliophiles. I am a single mom to a wonderful 9 year old boy named Bennett. I have a tight book budget so I get many of my books from bookswapping sites, my favorite being PaperBackSawp.com

About my libraryI gravitate towards historical mysteries mostly, but do read historical romances too, just not as much as I used to. I also love vampire and fantasy novels, even ones set in modern times. My library is a blended mix of many genres, including the titles I inherited from my late maternal grandmother's library.

Thank you for your review on my book, "Parallel Mind, The Art of Creativity." Would you mind if I posted it on my blog?

I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Dear Bennettsmama

Thank you for taking the time to read my novel and review it. I wanted you to know that I appreciate it very much. It takes time, and I myself don't review books very well, so I know it's not easy! Once again, thank you for your very kind words about the book.

Thanks for being my friend!!!Hope we can share a lot!!!
So you are an Anne Perry, Philippa Gregory, victorian costume, and Paper Doll fan too! FANTASTIC!
I just read your review of "Murder on the Eiffel Tower" and I couldn't agree more! You said exactly what I was going to write in my own review (haha). Great minds think alike? Now I will have to come up with something else to say about it...

Also, can't wait for "Night's Child," as I have really enjoyed the Murdoch mysteries from Maureen Jennings. Will be looking for that one. Thanks!
I was facinated to see your paper doll book collection. I collect first lady dolls and books, which has also included president books and dolls and have most of the Tierney president family paper doll books. I see that he has also one for Obama, even though he is just a candidate. I am experimenting with using Librarything to add my actual doll collection using the "change book cover" devise to add my phototographs. I hope I am not disobeying the rules.
I was just looking at your library from my other library (juglicerr). We have 73 books in common here, for a total of about 165 between my two libraries.

Regards,

Beth Root
I am flattered that you consider my library to be interesting. I am sorry to take so long to reply, but I have two libraries on the site. This one (juglice) is books I own and is very incomplete. Juglicerr is books that I have read. Since we share 92 books that I own, we obviously have very similar tastes!

Beth wishes,

Beth Root
I see that you have a great many Georgette Heyer books, and my late Mother-in-law was a great fan of hers, also (and of regency romances in general). I believe she must have owned every paperbook book that Ms. Heyer published, and she kept them all together in a special bookcase. They had all been read many times, and were dog-eared and worn. After her death a few months ago, I donated her books to the assisted-living facility where she lived, and I hope that the residents there are now enjoying them as much as she did!
I love your Jane Austen related collection. Plus of course, the Anne Perry novels. The book The History of Underclothes looks like an interesting book also.
