About meI am a proactive, experienced solution architect, information architect and developer with a track record of delivery quality solutions quickly especially in the IT- and media industries. During my 11 years in the IT industry I have had roles in development, systems analysis, systems design and project management using technologies like .NET, XML, SOA and Flash on a number of large and complex projects.
I have extensive experience in .NET- and XML-technologies ranging from the analysis, design and development of complex pattern-driven software solutions to lightweight efficient information architectures. I work with the latest development tools such as Visual Studio, XMLSpy. I work extensively in internet related industries providing innovative solutions with the main focus on web-enabling information products and applications.
Between December 1998 and 2002, I worked as a managing partner for the German company structures GmbH to forge and design e-Businesses for internal projects and to design and implement customer e-business projects. Structures GmbH holds a pending patent (Axel and Christian Liebler) for a semantic navigation concept, which aims to help providers and users to be aware about their navigational path through the internet. The second large project (still just a business concept) have been various services around future wearable technologies. I hold several trademarks and names on this topic. Thereafter I was involved in various large-scale projects as employee for the Holzmann Verlag GmbH & Co. KG. At this publisher company I held the position of an Information Architect for the Internet Information Services Division. In 2006 I came to Vienna to develop distributed systems for the online strategy of Altova GmbH as Software Architect and Web Developer. Since 2007 I manage international projects at Capgemini Consulting Austria AG mainly in the public sector.
Generally I enjoy developing and delivering systems but I also relish the human side and get the most out of my work when I am interacting closely with project stakeholders to deliver systems that add value and give a return on investment. I have the ability to motivate and manage my team to ensure the best results.
What I strive for:
My emphasis tends to be on creating systems based on sound technical model-driven designs. Pragmatism, using sound software engineering principles and applying software patterns are important. Quality and usability are key issues. I am inclined to use multiple tools or environments to create systems. I have experience with a variety of tools, development techniques and software products.
I am a professional who likes to work in small teams where I prefer a leading conceptual, architectural design role. During the last eleven years of my career I regularly was involved with the management of my employers and my clients as consultant, sparring partner and critic. I appreciate honesty and clarity. I believe in reaching goals as a collective and sharing the results. When dealing with clients I exhibit a service-oriented and coaching approach.
