About me Ecology grad student, at Horn Point Laboratory, University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. Married, no kids (yet!) 3 crested geckos (excellent non-demanding pets).
About my library Generally read a lot of non-fiction, history, some classics, science, etc. Most of the sci-fi I read years ago, really enjoyed it, and for some reason haven't gotten back into reading the newer stuff.

I see you have Theodore Rex, I thought very highly of it but Morris' first volume is superior - which is saying a lot.

You're more than welcome and thank you.
Of those you mention, I've only read 'Coal' and 'Necropolis' so far, both of which were excellent: just the right mix of entertaining and informative (although, in the case of the former, also a little scary since she touches on the global warming debate and, in particular, the US's current lamentable policies with respect to combating it. She's allowed to do this, since she's American herself!)
The others are on my also huge TBR pile. (I was given a lot of vouchers for my birthday at the end of August and bought a job lot of interesting popular history/science books including many of those you mention, so have yet to savour their delights!).
My criteria for interesting libraries? I look for shared interests, especially if our libraries overlap a lot since that provides the opportunity for swapping notes. Equally, if someone has books by an author I like, but where I own different ones, that can be interesting too. Plus I pick up on comments from the groups I've joined and have a scout around. I think that's basically it.
Looking forward to getting to know you & your literary tastes,
Allie
