Thanks Jim

I went to a library conference this week and heard Tim Spalding speak.
A modest man, who really only talked about librarything and what it could do.
He obviously remined me to renew my interest.
Coincidentally we have added librarything to our web catalogue this week as well.

Cheers mark
Greetings

Do you possibly know if Elise Sanguinetti is still alive and well?

"The last of the Whitfields" remains a favourite book. it is just so very funny. Though not very well known in New Zealand, and I have never struck another book by her.

Each time I have read this book- ( maybe 3 times ) i've always thought it would be great to tell her what a wonderful work she created.

kind regards, Mark
I can certainly understand not continuing after such a loss.

The market for bridge books is turbulent, especially those which are now out of print. When looking for a copy of Victor Mollo's "Bridge in the Menagerie" I found it cheaper to pay the additional cost for shipping from the UK rather than buy any of the copies I found available in the States.

Best wishes in your new endeavors.
Hey Jim, I "found" you tonight on librarything. I worked with your mother at GPL when I was doing a library practicum many years ago. And I knew your son when he was in middle school at HBMS where I am still the librarian. It really is a "small world."
Hi, I just joined this site. I noticed that you're a Da Vinci Code fan. Have you read Synarchy? Here's a link: www.synarchynovel.com/

Hey,

Just a quick note to let you know that my new novel, Dirty Little Angels, is now available. Thought you might like it since it's been compared to Larry Brown, whom I noticed you like. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Take care,

Awhile back, you commented on my library in a dedicated room as compared to your "bibliophile out of control" library. I thought you'd enjoy Canon Jenkins’s house, in the photo at:

http://www.therunninghead.com/therunning...

Scroll down to "Photograph of Canon Jenkins’s house..." about the 5th or 6th item on the page (the photo's a bit small). This photo should make all of us bibliophiles feel better about our stacks.

regards,
Os.
