About me I'm an IT director at the University of California, Santa Cruz and an archaeologist specializing in prehistoric art. My library supports my archaeological research, hobbies, interest in family history, and mental well being.

About my library About half my books reside on shelves where I have ready access. The rest are packed in closets and the garage because I bought a house with more windows than wall space for shelves. Books rotate on and off the shelves depending on my current research interests.

Hello bill,
Unbelievably, I finally made it to the Dordogne this June! As I am in a wheelchair, there were many caves that were impossible for me to visit. But I was able to see Abri de Cap Blanc, Combarelles, and Rouffignac! What an utter delight! I consider myself very lucky, as I had concluded that I would never be able to see any of them. I thought of you while I was there.
