Thanks for your information. Of all the places we went on our 10 day trip from the Atlantic to the Pacific Palo Duro Canyon was the most interesting. Perhaps we will return, with more information about this wonderful place.
I see you have the Story of Palo Duro Canyon. I also assume that you have visited there. It was interesting after seeing the Canyon to visit the museum on the university campus in the nearby town that included more artifacts from the area. It was an excellent visitors center. We later visited the Grand Canyon but Palo Duro was a bit more "manageable" in terms of grasping its impact. Coming from the flat area nearby it was almost a shock.
