All this Bernard Cornwell and no Patrick O'Brian? O'Brian is writing in the same period as Cornwell, except all the action is happening at sea. Try O'Brians' "Master and Commander". Aubrey/Maturin gives Sharpe/Harper a good run for the money. Enjoy.
