About meI am a 53, a married person who reads all the time. I am a librarian by trade and by nature. I have worked in bookstores and libraries since 1969. I sew, garden, embroider, hike and attempt to raise teenagers. I live in a beautiful outdoor environment.

About my libraryI am what is politely called a Frontier Librarian in the wilds of the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Our county is 10,600sq.miles,yet has only 18,000 people, 50% of whom have library cards. We have all the regular library services (internet,ILL) but are not automated which gives a lovely nostalgic feel to many when checking out books by stamp and signature.

My, we share a lot of books! Not too many Goudge fans out there, though. I am going to visit PEI in October, so I am re-reading all my L.M.Montgomery books at the moment.
The Dean's watch is a great book. I also rather like the Scent of Water and of course the Eliot books.
A slightly belated welcome to LT! We seem to have quite a few children's books in common. Lots of E. Nesbit and Paddington!
Nice to see another person with a collection of Goudge books
