About meI'm a 25 year old Idahoan who has been obsessed with reading almost as much as writing, but somehow always gets sidetracked with life.

The list of books I want to read is too big to even count and every day I add another.

I look forward to the day when I have an actual library in my house with floor to ceiling shelves filled with everything I can get my hands on.

I am enjoying the forcefulness of reading more instead of watching television and movies like I used to.

I'm also a new member of Early Reviewers.

About my libraryTag Note: I have started adding books from my mother's collection as well since we swap books so often and eventually I will take them all off her hands.

I have a random mixture like most of children's books, young adult, fiction, romance, mystery, non-fiction, biographies, movie adaptations, etc.

I used to never buy a book before I can read it and now my shelves are filled with books yet to be read, almost more than what I have.

"Research has determined that people who are immediately liked
by everyone share certain characteristics that can be emulated: they tend
to smile more and greet people more warmly. They use people's names at
least two or three times in the first couple of minutes. For the first
couple of minutes they usually carry the conversation, but after that
they become listeners -- and interested listeners. They send out the
messages: "I like you, I respect you, I'm interested in you,
I'm glad I met you and whatever you say has great interest to me."

Noticed you liked Girl Interrupted, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a disturbed young girl's mental illness and also a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Hi Lauren,

I really like your reviews! I am so amazed seeing how much you've read already this year. You must read a book every other day. Do you like John Irving? He's my favorite. I'm definitely going to have to read Atonement finally after reading your review.

Have a great week!
Michelle
Thanks, Lauren, We certainly do share the same type of books.

Did you like [Knit Two] as much as the [Friday Night Knitting Club]? I've been meaning to read it but all the other books keep begging to be first.

I loved your review of [Letters to a Young Poet]. I will have to look for it.

Carrie
Thank for being my friend. I am very impressed by the list of books you have read this year!

Dara
Thanks. I'm glad I'm not cheating by counting e-books. :)

Thanks for adding BannedBooksLibrary to your Interesting Libraries. Happy Reading!
Hi Lauren,
isn't it heaven knowing everyone else around here is obsessed with words, too?
Thanks for offering to be friends, I can see we've read lots of the same books!

Have fun on LT

Anna.
Hi Lauren. Welcome to LT. I'm pleased you think my library is interesting. Thanks! And I know what you mean by the evergrowing pile of books to read. I tag mine TBR so I know how many there are and in hopes it'll keep my book buying in check. Hasn't really worked so far! I blame it on all the books I hear about on LT.

To do the strike through, you have to type the whole word 'strike' within the brackets. Like this, but with no space inside the brackets:
< strike > your words < /strike >

Happy Reading. I'll see you around the '50 Book Challenge' and 'What are You Reading Now?' groups.
welcome! I'm honored that you designated my library as one of your interesting libraries. Thank you. Did you like "The Jane Austen Book Club"? (I see we share it); Karen Joy Fowler has a new novel just out called "Wit's End". I'm hoping to get to it in the near future. Sigh. So many books.... Best, Lois
Hi – have you weighed in yet on the next book for Group Reads – Literature? The discussion thread is here. And Irish set up a poll for us here (it can be amended if there’s lots of interest in a book that isn’t on there yet). Hope to see you there!
