About meI've loved reading and books since childhood. There's nothing like being transported, through a book, to another place or time. I've turned to books for entertainment and information since I learned to read. The books I like best are the ones that are well written, tell me something I didn't know before, and provide a different perspective.

About my libraryI like and buy many genres but tend to mainly read detective stories, from Agatha Christie to Michael Connelly. Well researched fiction in historical settings are particular favourites. I also like history so my library includes a range of history books. It is also a reflection of the interests I've had over the years, so it includes dressmaking books, books on dolls houses and books on symbolism in art.
