About me I am the librarian at my church and also run a private library at home. Oh for the time to read all the books I'd like to!

About my library I collect really old books for my own enjoyment. I also own many older and/or out-of-print books for a home library for home educators in my area, collected over a 12-year span of educating my own children.

Hello,
I'm adding covers again. The Four Corners of the World is one of them. Also, a number of titles by Ronald Symes.
I'm busy adding covers for my children's books, and since we share some very nice ones, I'm adding you to my interesting libraries. Here's the covers I've added recently, that we share:
three by Roger Duvoisin
all my titles by Maud & Miska Petersham, Ingri & Edgar d'Aulaire, and Sonia Bleeker.
Pen and Bayonet
Enjoy!
Amy
Dear booklady, I too am a Kyian (Lexington and Bandana). I like library thing very much. Hope to one day to be able to recognize all my authors in the picture gallery. I am positive once they had a picture of our Kyian, Jesse Stuart, but then the picture disappeared. Do you know how to get a picture of this our great Kyian?? haley
Hello, I am also a church librarian and book lover. I'm in the middle of listing my books, and already we have over 100 titles in common. I also collect old books as well - that's just one of the bookcases I haven't got around to adding yet.
I believe that you can connect your books indicating that they are the same book but maybe different editions... It just has been a while since accidentally came across it so I don't recall how it is done. Good Luck
Hello again, I just finished reading Elizabeth Coatsworth's Door to the North -- you're one of four LTers who have a copy, lucky! I'm gonna have to get one for myself - it's such an interesting story, and satisfyingly longer than most of her other books. Coatsworth is a great author, imo.
Hi Library Lady, I too am from Kentucky (Lexington) actually Bandana and am wondering where you actually live. I am working mainly now on my childhood books and picking them up again brings back fond memories. lhr
I thought I'd check my LT list just to make sure it's alphabetized by the usual rules, and it is. If a title's first word is The, the second word is the one chosen. Same for A, and An...but what's squirrly is that when I use Search, even in my own library (eg looking for The Real Book vs Real Book) I get an unequal number of hits, even though all 33 are alphabetized; they're all there on my list. (and I never put a, an, the at the end of my titles, either)
I have many of the same titles you have in the Real Book About series, but LT doesn't show us as sharing them: maybe LT needs to figure this out. A series name should be recognizable with or without the The - shouldn't it? (Doesn't LT automatically alphabetize according to the first "proper" word, i.e. after A, AN, THE, in the title?)
