About meHello! I wish I could read more.

About my libraryMy shelf does not contain everything I've ever read, but a good chunk.:D My shelf once consisted of only my favorite books, due to the 200 limit of the free account. Thanks to an amazingly generous gift from BarkingMatt, I now have a Lifetime account and unlimited additions to my shelf! My shelf now consists of books I didn't like (rated 1 or 2 stars) just to get an idea of what I don't like, but I only include books I've read all the way through. Click my favorites list to see the books I absolutely loved. I read on average 75 books a year. Happy reading!

Note on my Early Reviewer requests: I usually only hit the request button when it is a book I'm pretty sure I'll love. I already have so many books I want to read that I wouldn't request every single book just because it is free. It would take away from the other books I'd like to read. So if I request an Early Reviewer book, it is because I'd evenutally want to read it anyway, not just because it is available on Librarything. And if I have a sneaking suspicion that I won't like a book, I don't pick it up to begin with. ALSO, disregard the TBR shelf. Any giveaway book I receive will move to the top of my TBR list and will be the next book I read. thanks!

I have just read your review of 'If on a winter's night a traveller' and it sounds wonderful! By a strange coincidence I was looking at this book in my local branch of Waterstones, but as I had gone in to pick up two books that I had already ordered I didn't dare to add another to the pile. What a mistake! I shall return to the shop tomorrow and hope that in the meantime no one else has purchased it. Many many thanks for posting such a well written and informative review.

Best wishes,

Ruth (one half of Bowerbirds-Library
I'll be stalking your shelves to see how you're using it ;-)

Kidding. Enjoy!
Cassie - I just read your review of Romancing Miss Bronte and now you've made me want to read the book. I'm like you - I absolutely love the Brontes to bits, but I originally didn't want to read it because HOW COULD THEY write historical fiction about their lives. But now I see I am going to have to. I always felt that poor Arthur got treated badly by Charlotte's biographers, when it seemed like she really did end up loving him in the end. Anyway, just wanted to tell you great job, and to suggest two books for you for the future, both by Juliet Barker. The first is The Brontes, a big exhaustive biography, and the second is The Brontes: A Life in Letters. I haven't read the second yet, but I'm hoping it'll have some of the correspondence between Arthur and Charlotte.

Good to hear from you. I'm still happy to send you books...tell me what you're looking for, and if I have them to give away, they're yours.

Noticed you liked She's Come Undone, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a disturbed young girl's downward spiral and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:
