About me Howdy there. My name is Justin and I work at the Paseo Verde Library in Henderson, Nevada. Circulation Desk, in particular. I'm the person who checks the books out to you and checks them in as well. I see a lot of books come through my library and have a to-be-read-list in my head that equals out to be miles long.
I'm weird with what I like to read. I like fantasy, but not all. I like science fiction, but not all. I like most historical fiction books, however. It just depends on how I'm feeling as I open that first page.
By the way, if the book hasn't gotten me by page 15, it's out the window and I'm onto my next read.
Got any questions? Feel free to leave me a comment!
About my library I don't own many books. Any of the books listed on my "shelf" are books that I've checked out from the public library that I work out and have read. I don't believe in owning books, as other people can use them after you've read them once. But that's just me. :P
I have a certain tag system set up which I like. The first tag will be the status of the book at the moment, the second is where I heard of the book/decided to read it, and the third is which library it's from.

Your side view about not owning a book is interesting. I'm more the 'have to have it on my shelf' kind, cos I love to see them everyday. Don't you want to read them over and over again?

Glad to have you im Green Dragon as well! It's a fun bunch of personalities and you fit right in!
I'd like to ask permission to use one of your ideas on another board; I'd like to post your topic about a "Fictional US Cabinet" to my friends over at KongIsKing.net (OFF TOPIC FORUM, of course), but would only steal your idea if you approve and I can give you credit! May I?

And likewise with the owning books thing. I buy books all the time, but as soon as they are read, I pass them on to friends of mine who like to read, for exactly the same reason you have for not owning books. Why waste a good read by keeping it on the shelf?
Well, I just had to say hello, after reading your profile and recognizing someone a little like myself...
