I must admit, when King was hit by that car, my first thought was "So we'll never know what Roland finds at the Tower." Fairly presumptious, I realize now, to assume that Roland would even make it there ;)
But you're right, I practicaly inhaled the last 3 books since they were put out so close together. I'm going quickly this time through, but am able to more fully enjoy the story (perhaps because I know how it ends).

You left a comment on my 50 book challenge list asking about Jodi Picoult's Harvesting the Heart. I'm a hugh fan of her work but I can't recommend this particular book. Actually I didn't finish it, reading only 153 of 453 pages. It is extemely slow going. So much so that I gave up. It was her 2nd published novel, written in 1995.
