About meWell, you can guess that I played chess seriously in the 70's and early 80's, and have been playing again in recent years (with a big gap in the middle for wife, work, kids and the usual stuff). Lots more options now for dabbling in chess, with the Internet, rapid tournaments, email chess, etc - but I'm not likely to go back to serious, classical chess.

Happy to hear from others who are infected with the chess virus. There's only one escape from it!

About my libraryI've kept this account for chess stuff, but actually I do have other interests, which I cover somewhere else. Somehow chess seems to belong alone as an obsession.
