About me I am an avid reader (as i imagine most of us are on this site).

About my library I read just about anything so if you have a book you JUST LOVE recommend it to me. Also I can proudly say that any book that is in my library I have read. This is not just a list of books that are on my shelf. Actually most of them are from the library, the few that I do own are mostly favorites. There are new books every couple days!

Hi,Teri. On Go Review That Book!, I've created a group Wiki page to keep track of the progress of the game and the reviews that have been generated. Some may find it easier to read the reviews by having them in one handy place. There's a discussion thread in the group and this is the first Wiki page if you are interested in having a look. To avoid any difficulties with copyright, I'm seeking your consent to add your reviews to the group Wiki page.
We don't have many books in common, but you have read Gone With The Wind, and that's the main thing! :D Just surfing librarything and thought I'd say hello. If you're looking for something to read, you should try The Tea Rose, by Jennifer Donnelly. It's become one of my favorites.

Great to meet you! Thanks for accepting my friendship. I'm looking forward to checking out your library and I hope you enjoy mine.
I was drawn your profile because not may of us read "The Psychic Eye". I was just wondering if you knew that there are four in the series. Just thought you may want to take a look.
Hey,

If you liked The Store, read The Resort. More of the same, insert evil hotel versus evil store. Fun read! Don't know anyone else that has read Little.
Hello again Teri,

I finally bought a copy of Kissing Sin and in a moment of Amazon weakness bought the rest of the set. I'm part of the way through the first but struggling. Did I ask you already if you'd tried Jim Butcher? If I haven't I think you might enjoy him. Apologies for taking oooh only three months to reply ;)

Hi Teri, thanks for your message! I'll try to do my best for LT! Happy reading to you and don't hesitate emailing me for issues or proposal!

The Valheru group? You crack me up!
I've started a group thats dedicated just to discussing HP and the Deathly Hallows. its called HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS ONLY. We could all post about the last book there so that is will be contained and we won;t have to worry as much aobut spoilers. Join when you finish the book.
Thanks for the comment on my profile. :)

I've not added all my books yet (just the ones that were unread at the beginning of the year and new ones I've acquired since then) but I'm sure we'll have quite a few books in common once I get my whole library on here...
I was awfully disappointed by Thread of Grace, because my anticipation was so high. With Sparrow, she had me so deeply involved with the characters that I felt profoundly moved by the story. In Thread of Grace, she's dealing with similar moral issues, but I spent so much mental energy trying to keep track of which character I was reading about that I was never able to sink into the story the way I had in Sparrow. And it was a shame, because the story she was telling had huge potential, and I felt she had a very deep understanding of her characters, so that she could have made us care - if only she spent longer with some of them and not kept skipping around so much.
Welcome to Books Compared. I, too, loved Mary Doria Russell's The Sparrow. What did you think of A Thread of Grace? I so wished she had stuck with a smaller cast of characters and involved me more deeply. But there's no way I could select which characters to dispense with - they were all so well-drawn and had meaningful roles in the story. Maybe the book should have been longer.
Thanks for joining the group! Feel free to invite your friends, start topics, and generally be as involved as you're interested in being.
Thanks for your comment. I have an aunt that introduced me to classic movies at a young age, and a love of classic movies turns to a love of classic books they are based on!
I liked Laurell Hamilton before Anita started having boinkfests in each book, pre Obsidian Butterfly. Do you like Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden series? I've been enjoying Patricia Briggs' series about coyote shifter, Mercedes and also the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. Just started a collection of food related essays called Death by Pad Thai, yum =)
Hello! What are you reading at the moment? I'm mid-way through Ysabel by Guy Gavriel Kay and enjoying it very much; he writes beautifully. Next up is the new Kim Harrison.
Hullo!

Thank you for being the first (& probably only) person to notice my library! I share your enthusiasm about mysteries, especially when they include an element of humor (or pertain to the entertainment industry). Your reviews have been very helpful in expanding my "books to get" list & I am confident we will soon share more than 32 works. Best wishes, Britbully
Hi there,

I just logged into my Library Thing account for what feels like the first time in ages and was delighted to find a nice comment by yourself. Wow we share a fair few books in common I notice you have a copy of Kissing Sin by Keri Arthur; I'm keen on these now they are available in paperback, would you recommend them?

Cheers
R
Thanks for the message, I'm glad that you like Fables as well, it's a great series... have you seen they're bringing out a Jack of Fables spin-off? I think the first one is out very soon, with another to follow in a couple of months... should be good, I hope :-)
It's almost time for you to get a lifetime membership! ;)
Hello, I got your comment. I'd love to be friends.
It was the first one of his I read and, again, excellent. As with NLMG you are gradually drawn in.
Yes, an excellent novel which made me feel very sad too. It was chilling without the author over-egging the pudding as the saying goes. He's such a good writer and doesn't seem to go in for being over-literary either. Did you read his 'Remains of the Day'?
Merry Christmas! I'm glad you're enjoying Fables!
I'm giving NLMG to my dad for Xmas this year, I just hope he likes it- I think the slightly sci-fi plot of childern being raised for 'spare parts' will appeal to him, although the female narrator might be hard for him to identify with
I found NLMG incredibly suspensful at the start, when the children are still in school and they know that they're different from the rest of the population, the teachers half-telling them about things; not lying to them, but not giving them the full picture. It really spurred me on to finish the book quickly :)
What did you find so sad about [[Never let me go]]?
Cheers to my fellow bookish geek-nerd! Strangers in Paradise is my next graphic novel must-read! :)
