About meMy interests as a writer include the relationship between literature and popular culture, comics history and art, and the works of Robert Louis Stevenson. I am the author of CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED: A CULTURAL HISTORY (McFarland, 2002) and am currently at work on an expanded second edition. I also edited and contributed to ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON RECONSIDERED: NEW CRITICAL PERSPECTIVES (McFarland, 2003). Since 2003 I have been writing introductions and author biographies for reissued titles in the revived Classics Illustrated series, published in Toronto by Jack Lake Productions.
