About me I'm the author of "The Lost Country of Sight" which won the 2007 Philip Levine Prize and is due out fall 2008 from Anhinga Press. At one point in time I was also a computer games programmer -- but I repented of that and pursued an MFA in Creative Writing at the University of California-Riverside instead. I'm currently working on a PhD in Literature & Creative Writing at USC. In my spare time, I edit and manage Boxcar Poetry Review (www.boxcarpoetry.com)

About my library Mostly contemporary American and Canadian poetry, with a particular focus on Asian American poets and first books of poetry.

Congratulations on your book. I will look for it when it comes out. Could you send me a poem of yours to my profile? I'm curious.
Neil,

Luis Omar Salinas is one of my favorite poets
and I had the pleasure of meeting him a few
years ago.

Hey Neil, figures I would end up having a lot of the same books you own. This is Noel, from UCR, the one who ended up sticking around after getting his BA from there. I think Abani is sick of me by now.
I saw that we share an interest in poetry. I thought you might get a kick out of my book Anarchy Bell. It's unlike any poetry book you've ever read, I can guarantee it. It's viewable at Suburban Fiction.com
Kudos on getting the MFA!
Hey Neil - thanks for the comment over at my place! I'll have to spend some time poking around your library. I have a sneaking suspicion that LibraryThing is going to make my "want to read" list even longer, as if it wasn't long enough already. :) It's all very addictive, isn't it?

Hey Neil,

I've been to your webzine and your website and both are very, very impressive. Like you, I'm a poet, a bit older, lived in L.A., best friend went to UCR. Sounds like you got your teaching gig. Good for you! How do you like living in Canada, as opposed to SoCal?

My 16th collection of poems is due out later this year. I'm not sure you'd like my style, but I am pretty sure you'd like my dedication over the years....

Cheers!

Scott
