About meGraduate student in Cultural Anthropology. I am specifically interested in the relationship between new religious movements and nationalism in Western Ukraine. Other areas of interest include folklore, folk-medicine, shamanism, psychological anthropology, and symbolic anthropology.

About my libraryObviously reflects my occupation as a student in anthropology. Also, in the non-academic sector I enjoy Fantasy, especially Dark Fantasy (of a specific Tanith Lee/Storm Constantine type), a little Science Fiction, and though this might not be accurately reflected I also really enjoy Russian Literature.
I have two favorite books of all time - The Master and Margarita and Atlas Shrugged. These are the only 5 star books you will find in my library. However, other favorites (in the "favorite" collection in my library) include Roger Zelazny, Franz Kafka, and Janny Wurts. Two recent books that made the list are Anathem by Neal Stephenson and The City and The City by China Mieville. Finally, I have challenged myself to read every single novel by William Faulkner, so as I work my way (slowly) through them I will end up with quite a few books by him in my library.
