About meI have loved books for as long as I can remember--not too surprising given that my mother was a librarian and my father pursued a PhD in American Literature.

In fiction, my tastes are primarily toward SF, especially alternate history and post-apocalyptic fiction.

My nonfiction reading focuses on my career (software testing and development), my children (I have two children with Autism), and the state of the world and the United States.

I live in suburban Seattle and share custody of my three children withmy ex-wife.
