About meI'm the full-time working, happily married mom of two boys, a seven-year-old and a six-month-old. Life is nothing if not crazed, and I don't have nearly the time to read that I'd like to have (I once read seven books in a weekend - needless to say, that doesn't happen anymore unless the books in question are books that I read to my seven-year-old!). But I do enjoy a good book when I get the chance. I read mostly for entertainment, but do read something educational/thought-provoking on occasion.

About my libraryMy library is a work in progress! I prefer mostly mystery/suspense and sci-fi/fantasy, but I'll read most anything that piques my interest. I hope to one day have my library neatly categorized and tagged, but I'm not there yet.

It's nice to see someone else on here from this part of the world. I've only told a couple of people I know in RL about this site, but they just kind of look at me like I'm nuts. They like to read, but I guess they aren't worried about cataloging their books and prefer Facebook for socializing.

Anyway, I ended up doing closed captioning kind of by accident. I had a job I didn't like and was looking for something different, and ended up in court reporting school. I thought I'd be a court reporter, but I learned about captioning, which uses the same machine and skills as court reporting, and was fascinated by it, so that's what I ended up doing as soon as I got out of school. It's a great job, I can't believe I was lucky enough to find it.
Oooh, you have The Fionavar Tapestry series! I just put that on my wishlist recently due to raves... somewhere, hee, I can't remember where. Maybe here, even.

Have you read them yet? I'm trying to figure out whether I should move them up on the wishlist or not.
