Thanks - that's all very helpful, and not at all too elementary. I'll experiment with using those sites, and see how I get on.

Yes, I've put in a lot of time over the last month in entering my library: I'm desperately trying to declutter my house and sorting out my books is one of the key things I'm working on. But the work on CK, combining and so on is just because it's fun.
Hello!
I notice that you improved on the bit of information I had put into the author split for Paul Bennett - in particular, you got birth dates for ones I found quite obscure. I was wondering if you had any advice on the best places to look when investigating splitting authors.
Thanks for the answer! Please correct the entry in Wikipedia and post a note on the discussion page there. gangleri aka User:לערי ריינהארט http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?curid=1003506
And I like - no love - both your quotes! My 14-year-old son makes fun of me for buying more books than I can read. I need to trot out your quote on the subject...
Of the various libraries having common books with mine, I find yours one of the most interesting to review. Kudos. I like your choice in many books. Provides various leads for books I would like to read some day.
I like your quote!
