About me I am an intellectual and cultural historian, specializing in early modern Europe, the history of science, and the history of scholarship.

About my library My library contains books that I have bought in my areas of specialty, books of general academic interest, and weird titles connected in strange ways to the kinds of questions and problems that interest me.
Note: the fact that I possess a book doesn't mean I have read it, while (of course) there are plenty of books I have read or consulted that I don't own.

Cataloguing update, 2007-11-06: I'm still cataloguing books in my office, and I still haven't catalogued literature, poetry, and general nonfiction at home.

I just discovered this new way of procrastination... (Na Prous, aka Louisa)
Dutch books--the history ones I get in The Netherlands. I wouldn't know how to find them here. Art history is easier: I get periodic listings of new publications from Erasmus in Amsterdam/Paris, and from Michael Shamansky. The latter is also online (artbooks.com, I think), and although he specializes in Italian books/art, he has a good (though expensive) selection of Dutch things as well.
If you find a good way to get listings of Dutch history books, let me know.
Your book looks wonderful! I can't wait to read it.
Great library! And I realize that I bought your book just a few weeks ago, too.
