About meMy name is Lindsey and I live in the uk,I work in the local library and have done for many years.I cannot stop buying books but I try not to pay full price for them,I started with librarything to make a list of all my books as I kept buying books I already had. Then I discovered a whole new world of people who love books like I do,and surprisingly have the same weird taste in sci fi and history

My favorite Doctor is the eighth, as played by Paul McGann, with Christopher Eccleston's ninth running a close second. Of the new series books, my favorites have been The Stealers of Dreams, Only Human, and I Am a Dalek. Of the ones based on the old show, it can be kind of tricky to recommend a starting point because of the sometimes-involved storylines, but Relative Dementias is an excellent seventh Doctor/Ace story, Festival of Death is a note-perfect fourth Doctor/second Romana story, and Just War is a fantastic seventh Doctor/Nazi story. What do you like?
Hi Lindsey,
thanks for your befriending. I see you are a fellow TV sci-fi fan. My favourite series are Babylon 5, Deep Space 9 (I like all Star Trek but this is my favourite and Wrath of Khan is my favourite film. Khan is so wonderfully over the top), Stargate SG1 and Atlantis, Farscape, Doctor Who, Buffy, Angel and Quantum Leap. My favourite non sci-fi is The West Wing.
Have you seen this site? http://www.debbieohi.com/b5/
It's a great read and reminds you of all those emotions you had the first time you saw B5.

I see you have a lot of Bujold too. Have you read The Curse of Chalion? It was my first read of hers and I loved it. I still think it's her best book. I am currently working my way through the Vorkosigan books which are fun although they can be hard to get hold of in the UK.

I am currently having a blitz on entering my older books so there are a lot of Agatha Christie novels being entered.

Hello Lindsey, yes, I'm well familiar with Cherry Ames, as well as those other books by Helen Wells about Vicki, the flight stewardess! It just so happens that I just love young adult fiction, that is, those charming books for girls that they used to write - I can never get enough of them! I you like the Cherry Ames books, you should check out the books about Sue Barton (nurse) by Helen D. Boylston - very good!
