About meA former arts administrator, I am a writer, facilitator and training professional. I remember the day I learned to read and the world opened up to me.

About my libraryI read all sorts of books, including fiction, poetry, memoirs, biographies, books about social justice, environmental, and other issues, adventure, etc. Have read self-help books but not into those so much any more. I like books that are authentically written, true to themselves, that pull me in. Some of my books are like fine dining, some are like lovingly prepared home cooked meals, and some are like fast food. I devour and savor books. It has been my pleasure to donate my large library of multicultural children's books to a couple of schools in South Africa. I currently borrow more books from the library than I purchase.

Noticed you liked The Bluest Eye, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also southern and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:
