About meI'm one of your classic "read Lord of the Rings when I was 11 (1958) and every year since" types, and I've reached the point where I can indulge my passion and decorate my office accordingly (and thank you Peter Jackson for the flurry of LOTR-themed products). When not in Middle-earth, I am a professor of library and information science at Simmons College in Boston.

About my libraryIn addition to the many Tolkien and related books, I have a select collection of favourites from a variety of genres (from Charles Williams to Owen Wister), a bunch of poetry, some stuff in French, a bit in German, even less in Latin. Oh, and a whole bunch of books on folk music and travel. My husband collects soccer books and mags, especially Arsenal.
